Meeting in Ceska Lípa
Students and teachers meeting in Ceska Lipa. 19-24 November, 2017.
A short essay from a Hungarian students:
When I woke up, I couldn't believe it, that day was the day of travelling. We waited for this for a long time, we were so excited! We went to the airport with a small bus. That was our first flying, it was very exciting. When we arrived in Ceska Lipa, our families were in the bus station. We went to their home and slept well. On the first day we went to Liberec. We found this city great and beautiful. We went back to the bus and started to go up a hill. There was lots of snow, so we could play with that. Then we climbed down the hill. It was a bit hard, because the hill was high and the weather was very cold. In the top I couldn't feel my legs. There was a little restaurant where we drank tea and the teachers had some coffee. I think that was the best day. The last day we watched the videos of every country. But before this we went to a floorball match to a winter stadium. In the evening there was a disco in the school. It was tiring, so we could sleep very well. On Wednesday therewas a school competition al laround the school. That was the hugest school that I have ever seen! Then we watched a PE lesson. After this we had a lunch and visited the town hall and a museum. On Thursday morning we played a floorball match in one of the gyms of the school. (Because there were 4 gyms.) The teachers' team won the match. In the afternoon we were on sightseeing in the town. And the last day... It wasn't the end of the travelling because we went to a textile factory. We could make our own T-shirt sorbags. We had a lunch in the school and then we went to the bus station. We were so sad, because it was so short, short and wonderful, I wanted tostay there. Thank you for everything!

Our logo competition
In our school many students prepared logos for the project. We would really like to thank all the children who entered into the logo design competition. There were many fantastic entries and from this we picked these runners up, that deserve a special mention. Each child received a certificate and a prize. The overall winner was Béres Lizi from clas 7.c, her logo will be used for representing the Eurotour project.
Interviews
As a part of the ERASMUS project EUROTOUR the children of class 4.b. had made interviews with the shops and companies dealing with tourism in our town.
For the first step we tought up some questions. The questions were about the shops policy, popularity and fame. We also asked the staff about what is needed for their job like languages or qualifications.
The interviews covered various field of work. We asked pansion owners, hotel managers, press-workers, leader of family business, cafe owners, tourism specialists.
During the interviews we learnt about their job, we got some interesting bits of information about the business.
We also took some photos and recorded the interviews.
We learned some very interesting and useful experience. The adults explained how to stand on our own feet in the future, and also explained how to set up our own businesses. It is not as difficult as it was thought! We realized and understood the need for qualified staff, and has decided to develop our own qualification to be successful in the future.
We also really enjoyed the whole process!

Eurotour Project Students’ Exchange in Mersin 10-15 March, 2019
„Trying to summarize something so incredible and packed with great experiences is a challenge for sure, but here is my best try at it.
When I first heard about the student travelling programs that were going on in my school, my first choice was the Mersin one and it turned out to be a great choice. Essentially, Mersin is a paradise on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and for someone who never saw oceans, let alone seas, this was a great option. Let alone it being the paradise I mentioned before, it has some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. I heard a lot of great things about Turkish hospitality, but I could never imagine this level of greatness when it comes to treating guests; they somehow always knew what was on my mind and treated me like family.
It would be a crime not to mention the Turkish cusine, with its exotic and thousandfold flavours. The highlight of it was probably the many different kebabs I got to try during the week. One thing I found very unusual is that in the majority of the cases the amount of appetizers surpassed that of the main meals so to speak, but that wasn’t neccessary a problem. Also, the tea (I believe it is called Chai) was awesome and it was always nice to drink a cup of it after some meals. It felt something more than tea.
The week itself consisted of many programs, but the highlight of the week would probably be the hidden fairy tale world that is Cappadocia. I don’t think I have to say too much about it.
In the end the reason I’m so very grateful to the people who made this amazing week possible is that some of us (the travelling students) might never again have the chance to go to these places and experience all the beautiful things I mentioned above.”

My trip to Turkey
„In this essay I'm going to talk about one of the best experiences of my life. From the point of being told about an idea to travel to a different country with my friends to the day of going to the airport to make an idea the reality I was as excited as little children. I was staying at the house of a very nice and kind teacher who sadly didn't really speak English but not a problem at all because her son spoke for both of them. We visited places that were incredible like old abandoned stone villages and Cappadocia and did all kinds of fun things with friends from home and with friends we just met who came from Denmark . We played bowling together ,went shopping together . Honestly it couldn't have been better. All the Turkish teachers were kind and funny . The food was out of this world good and we never went to bed with an empty stomach. We ate Döhner and a lot of weird but very tasty food with too complicated names to remember . We visited a school where the children were so excited to see us they were all around us smiling and just looking. Being so out of our confortzone of travelling with parents always by our side turned out to be a great experience. But obviously we had some teachers always with us doing everything they could to keep us safe and well. To sum up I look back to that week in Turkey and only have happy memories that I will look back at even decades from now.”

Turkey
„We went to Turkey with air. I have never travelled with plane. It was very exciting. The food was very good on the aircraft. Our accommodation was in Mersin. First day we met in the school and we played group games with the Turkish students in the school garden. The lunch was brought by teachers in the school. After the students presented a welcome show for us. In the evening we ate Döner in a restaurant. The Turkish cuisine is very similar to ours. Second day we went Cappadocia. It is four hours far from Mersin. It was such an amazing place. On Wednesday we were in an advanture park. It was really exciting. I think it was the best day. On Thursday we visited the Narlikuyu area. It was a place where the gladiators or lions killed the guilty people. Then we watched how a tipical food was cooked and this was for lunch, too. In the afternoon we visited the Maiden castle. It was built on an island in the sea. On Friday we went to a short sightseeing tour of the city, we visited old parts of the city and an old bazaar. In the evening I was in the mall with my host family. The last day we came home. I think it was a really good week but it was too short.”
